WHAT'S THIS SITE ABOUT?
Same with blogs. If the point is simply to defend/attack the administration or its opponents on any issue according to which "side" we are on then we have no right to call for objectivity in others (see "What Objectivity" and "Unfortunate Bias" below). Disagreement is healthy - but when it degenerates to I-say/you-say, it's mere bickering. Is anyone interested in using this site to flesh out the differences and establish what common ground is possible? Or is this just a rant-board? Simply equaling out conservative and liberal rants furthers no positive purpose - at least as I define positive. Call me old fashioned, but I consider true democratic (small "d") patriots to be those with the intellectual and emotional ability to stake out positions while still searching for common ground. The former is in great abundance, while the latter is disappearing rapidly in a rising tide of raised angry voices from both sides. The question for my fellow bloggers here is what is federalreview.com going to be? I'm searching for a place to do more than rant from one side - am I there yet? Let me know if I'm wasting your time.
