HOT GOP BABES
You heard me right. Here's a page of
GOP-Babe-Of-The-Week. From Heather Locklear and Sarah Michelle Gellar to Condi Rice and Peggy Noonan. Grrrrrrowl.

Now, I'm not saying that the Democrats cannot match the Republicans in babe hotness. But at least when these girls open their mouths, you'll want to listen.

SPOT-ON, OL' CHAP
Here's Andrew Sullivan
putting Europe on the couch:
So then you have the third, milder anti-Bush position: he's simply in way over his head. He's a moron, a Texas buffoon, illiterate, simplistic, and dangerous. Worse, he's some kind of born-again maniac whose main tool of policy prescription is getting down on his knees and thinking of Billy Graham. At some level, this caricature is so comforting, so easy to digest, so superficially true in some respects that it feels churlish to disabuse people of it. Brits like their Americans this way. It makes for great comedy sketches, even better jokes, and soothes the nagging worry that a country run by a certifiable idiot is still - somehow - the most vibrant, diverse and prosperous on the planet. After all, in the new century, it cannot be of that much comfort to Europeans that the one country that was decimated by a terrorist attack at the heart of its commercial capital has already leapt ahead economically of everyone else. If France's third quarter growth rate was 7.2 percent, it might make more sense. But, no. It's the country run by a moron, devastated two years ago by the worst act of war on its soil in history, and governed by know-nothing policies, that is doing so well. So, er ... let's make fun of the damage Bush does to the English language and compare him to Hitler. That will make us feel better.
I don't think Europe will feel better. And here's a great cartoon, with dead-eye perspective. In case the link doesn't work, it's an English mob, protesting: "British Soldiers have no business fighting America's war!" Meanwhile, a journalist covering the mob, reports: "A popular sentiment here in London made without the slightest hint of a German accent".

Too bad we can't just put the European children to bed, kiss their little naïve foreheads, and tell them not to worry about the monsters. We'll take care of them.

TRAITOR TO THRONE HONORED IN LONDON
Memri translates
an editorial from the Saudi Gazette. If I read this correctly, the author seems to think that the British are still quite upset about the Boston Tea Party and yet are willing to follow the orders of the American president. This is really incoherent and explains a little more about the conspiracy-addled middle-eastern mind.

And then there's the wonderful Syrian miniseries about the grand Jewish conspiracy that makes The Reagans look like it was edited from actual news footage.

ARE McKINNEY'S FIFTEEN MINUTES UP?

Disgraced former congresswoman and conspiracy theorist Cynthia McKinney made her debut as a visiting professor at Cornell University this week.

Based on press reports, it did not go well for the woman who became (in)famous by spouting "iconspiracy theories about Jews and whites plotting to murder people and prevent her re-election [and] claims was that the Bush administration had prior knowledge of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks."

According to the Cornell Daily Sun, not only was there a poor turnout for her widely publicized lecture on U.S. politics, but students attending called her "incoherent" and said she "did an absolutely dreadful job in answering the questions."

Perhaps most shocking about McKinney's failure to connect with her audience is the location: an Ivy League school that is normally considered a hot bed of liberalism.

Given this dreadful performance, and apathetic (and sometimes hostile) turnout from what should have been her core constituency, one has to wonder if McKinney has finally risen to her level of incompetence and might soon (but not soon enough) exit the public stage once and for all.

A NEW REALITY SHOW: THE ANGRY LEFT
A reader sends in a
link to a webcam of Trafalgar Square, so that you can watch the assorted Marxists, Trotskyites, Stalinists, Maoists, Anarchists, Jihadists, Appeasers, Genocide-Apologists, Women-Oppressors, Isolationists and their related ilk provide moral support and comfort to terrorists.

While enjoying today's breathless news coverage about how Bush is hated in the United Kingdom, just remember that even a majority of Britain's Labour Party welcomes his visit.

Thanks to Brian for the link.

A LITTLE HISTORY
John Fund in The Wall Street Journal
describes how President Kennedy and President Bush were both elected without winning the popular vote and explains that judges in Illinois and Texas prevented recounts. Sound familiar? Of course, both Bush and Kennedy were legitimately elected.

On a related note, Oswald acted alone, yet many believe Oliver Stone's version. And you wonder why conservatives were so upset about CBS's rewrite of Reagan history.

WHAT A PROTEST!
A "large body" of protestors "surge"
in London? A reader asks, how can 100 people "surge"? I ask if that really is a "large body" of protestors. What's the population of London now, 32?

This is only a little more impressive than the Draft Hillary movement. Heck, Kucinich has more supporters than London has surging protestors.

Check out the top 50 "Guy Movies" of all time,

WHY DON'T YOU ASK HILLARY, PROFESSOR?

The Auburn, NY Citizen reports that "Dr. Riffat Hassan, Wells College's guest speaker for 'Women in Islam: Beyond the Images,'" recently attacked First Lady Laura Bush for caring about--yes, caring about, the plight of Muslim women:

"All this is very good, but where were you five years ago?" she said. "Women are not worth what oil is."

Where was she five years ago, professor? In Texas. She was not yet First Lady, you feminist twit.

Attacking a Republican for not doing something before she was in a position to do anything and giving the Democrats a free pass...and people wonder why they call them the "angry" left...

GAY MARRIAGE LEGAL IN MASSACHUSETTS
Despite whether you think our society should permit gay marriage or some sort of civil union for same-sex couples, it should be alarming that this divisive issue has been determined by a court and not through debate and the election of representatives. This is exactly the sort of fundamental alteration to our society that should be decided by legislatures.

If you want gay marriage, fine. But don't asked 4 out of 7 robed jurists to decree your point of view. In John Kerry's home state, the
court is telling the legislature to enact laws. The judicial usurpation of the Republic continues.

SADDAM AND AL QAEDA
By now you've seen
the intelligence linking Saddam and al Qaeda as far back as 1990. Sure, there are questions about the reliability and credibility of this information, but imagine the recriminations if the administration did not act on this information and there was another attack by al Qaeda. Would the administration be forgiven for not acting because there was not "proof" of a link, or would they be vilified because they did nothing despite all of the "evidence" of a link?

By it's very nature, intelligence is not a sure thing, even if you have actual photographs. Intelligence contacts are seldom nuns and bankers.

This information is more than enough for Bush to have made a speech saying that we have evidence that Saddam has been working with al Qaeda for years, but he didn't say that. He left it at saying that Saddam simply, generically supported terrorism or that maybe Saddam worked with "affiliates" of al Qaeda.

Perhaps the American people, whom the Democrats have derided for being stupid for thinking there was a connection between al Qaeda and Saddam, were right after all.
