JOBFUL RECOVERY
The lagging indicator of job creation is finally catching up, with 308,000 new jobs created in March, according to the seasonally adjusted establishment survey of non-farm employment. Figures for January and February were revised upward from 118,000 to 205,000. So, that's over a half million new jobs so far in 2004. Of course, since President Bush took office in January 2001, the economy has lost 1,959,000 jobs. According to the household survey, which takes into account self-employment and other small business, the economy has actually added 1,216,000 jobs since President Bush took office.
Regardless of which numbers you look at, things are improving for the U.S. economy, which bodes well for the President.
