PEDESTRIAN
I really did hope for better from John R. Edwards. Like me, he's a lawyer from Raleigh. Like me, he's from small town North Carolina. Like me, he's from a family that hadn't believed in college, but encouraged him to go anyway. I went to see him argue that case in Raleigh. I respected his hard work, and was proud someone in national politics recognized North Carolina.

But I really didn't expect him to say nothing tonight.

A shame.
