Obama Gets Off to a Bumpy Start

Now that Daschle is out, Barack's Performance Czar (whatever that is) is out - both for tax reasons, and Richardson is out because of a criminal investigation, I wonder . . .

Will the press start hounding Obama about whether he has made mistakes in his cabinet selections?

Unlikely, considering the only negative to Obama of picking yet another tax cheat for high office, only to have him back out, is that this deals "potential blows to both speedy health care reform and Obama's hopes for a smoother start as president."

Personally, I'm glad it might slow down health care reform - as if that could happen quickly regardless what fixer apparatchik was appointed. We are already sliding so fast down the slippery slope that ends in Marxist tyranny, any additional drag caused by bad vetting is welcome.

Well, at least we still have the indispensable Timothy Geitner to set a positive anti-tax example for us all.
